More poems about Christmas Music

        JOIN THE CHORUS
Come let us join the chorus that the angels sang
On that sacred night when heaven rafters rang
With anthems of rejoicing, with jubilant praise,
Come Christians everywhere your voices raise.

There seems less rejoicing than in days of yore,
Less and less people their Saviour do adore,
Maybe too busy to show that they do really care
Of the story about a babe in a manager cold and bare.

I love to hear the carols being sung by a choir,
Reading the Christmas story sitting by the fire,
In my mind I hear those angels sing with joy
At the birth of the Jesus that special baby boy.

Sometimes as I read and listen, quietly I hear
Those angelic voices that seem so very near,
Gone is the chaotic noise of worldly things,
As praising anthems sweet solace brings.

Listen in the noise for true Christmas peace,
Seek for the songs of praise that never cease,
As I prepare for Christmas let love always abide,
And the true meaning of Christmas never hide.
