More poems about Time

A TIME
I wish I had enough money to feed the homeless on the street,
To take care of all the needy that each day I meet,
Give a poor child toys, gifts and clothes galore,
I long for the time on earth when there will be no poor.

A time when greed has gone, all hearts full of loving and caring,
A time when all mankind feels the need to be always sharing,
For it breaks my heart to see the hungry and homeless everywhere,
And wish I had more material things that I could abundantly share.

I know that when he comes again the hungry will be fed,
The homeless and derelict will have somewhere to lay their head,
Mens hearts will be softened and goodness spread far and wide,
Then If I’m around my tears of joy I will not hide.
