ETERNAL LOVE
It’s not just the love-light in our eyes so bright,
Or the holding of hands in love, firm and tight,
It’s a love we are moulding now ready for eternity,
A love filled with sweet caring and constant charity.

It’s not just togetherness that we always seem to share,
More than that closeness that seems to be forever there,
It is our very way of life as we strive to live now as one,
So preparing to be together when our earthly life is done.

Our love is more than kind loving words written with care,
It is deep and serene, a feeling of joy beyond compare,
A little taste of Heaven whilst we dwell here on earth,
The love that we share is to me of the greatest worth.

Every day a meaningful prayer is raised to God above
That we will continue to grow in His strong eternal love,
Then as we try and serve each other the best way we can
We hope we are following faithfully God’s great plan.

I hope this deep love I feel will radiate far and wide,
For pure love is something that we should never hide,
For it overcomes all faults and failings every single day,
For we turn a blind eye as we, loving, travel along life’s way.

For love is more than love-light, more than togetherness,
More than understanding hearts and action that want to bless,
It is that light in the darkness, it is comfort for every harsh pain,
It is the path to the heaven. that one day we hope to claim.
