KIDNAPING
The pain and the torment in parents mind and heart,
When a child is missing, must tear them all apart,
What thoughts must race through them, what agony,
Each parent full of anguish, thinking how this could be,
Who on earth would take our child, is she in any pain?
Almost impossible to find comfort or ever sleep again.
The wickedness of the world seems worse every day,
The news is rarely good, just cruelty comes your way.
When a child is missing the community suffers too,
Friends, neighbors and family dont know what to do.
Except to offer a hand of love, and dont forget to pray.
Pray for understanding, and not have a bitter heart
Pray the police will be able to play their important part,
Pray His loving arms will be around family and friends,
And the kidnapers heart will be softened in the end.
If someone were to harm some child close to me,
Would I have in my heart Gods gentle sweet charity?
Could I really forgive them! of hatred in my heart be free?
Would I find it hard to forgive, for that is required of me?
We cannot judge others, be ready to recklessly condemn,
The Lord knows all that dwells in the hearts of men.
Just at this moment a prayer comes from my heart,
That the kidnapers will, from their evil ways depart,
Bring her home safe to her family so all will be well
And once again all may in love and harmony dwell.
