More poems about Lakes

SILVER RAYS
Silver sun rays shining on the lake breaking
through the clouds of grey,
Brightening up a rather misty, overcast, cold
and very dismal day,
We did not think the sun would shine at all,
no happy rays to see,
So that quick glance of sun kissed lake worked
wonders for me.

It was like a glimpse of heaven when hope
begins just a little to fade,
The sparkling light of God’s love seen
over home, hill and glade,
The grey clouds etched with silver by
some unseen hand,
Bringing a smile to those who glanced over
the that dismal dull land.

Driving through storms, mists, and low rain
clouds everywhere,
Then to glance up and nature with that scene
does so kindly share,
So in the darkest moments as through this
life we have to live,
The Lord knows our needs and to us glimpses
of heaven give.

Maybe with a spectacular sunrise or sunset
in reflected stillness,
Of a lake not seen before where in sweet peace
God your heart does caress.
A double rainbow arch across a blustery sky
after a bad storm,
And just like today see silver rays shimmering
a distant lake to adorn.
