TODAY IS A LITTLE COOL
Today is a little sunny and cool, but clear and bright,
All the warm fall colours remain such a beautiful sight,
A vivid blue sky, with a few fluffy clouds passing by,
And the soft breeze causing the trees to so gently sigh.
The grass is still green and a few late flowers still bloom
At the moment around here, for winter there is no room,
The end of October and sweet fall lingers with us still,
This year she holds firm her ground with a strong will.
Even the birds seem reluctant to be southward bound,
Their songs they still sing bring such a joyous sound,
A special extension of those long pleasing kind days
Of summer, so friend fall stay with your loving ways.
