IT CAME TO PASS
‘It came to pass’, in the scriptures
often comes our way,
Have you ever thought of this as comfort
on a bad day?
It tells us that it will pass and therefore
will not always stay,
This idea will help pull us through the
terrible fray,
When heartache and suffering fill us with
anguish and woe,
Knowing that it is for our benefit and will
help us better grow,
Then hear those kind words ‘It came to pass’
to cheer us so,
Maybe the prophets of old, hidden messages
wanted to show.
For it was when I was feeling sad and lonely
it came to me
That ‘It came to pass’ meant soon or late
I’d be free
Of the pain and hurting and once again
able to see
The joy of life and living just as the Lord
would have me be.
