More poems about Time

PASSING TIME
Tick-tock, tick-tock, the clocks do always say
As the hours go on through a slow or busy day,
In sunshine and in showers her sound is the same,
In joy and sorrow, through anguish and through pain,
Times never stops for you but goes plodding on,
Hang on a moment Time, until this task is done,
That is not possible at all, Time never takes a break
So we should not waste time but try and make
The most of what we have, all are given the same time,
So we cannot complain about time and whine
Saying you have more than me, for that is not true,
For as you know time is the same all the world through.
Use time wisely, like the wonderful free prize
That it is, waste it and one day you may have a surprise,
When life is ended and your time is all spent and gone
And the chance to do what was needed it past and gone.
