        THINGS WE CAN RECYCLE
Most of us try many things to recycle or to save,
Paper, plastic, bottles and tins and are very grave
About placing them all in the right recycle bin,
A battle against waste of resources to try and win.

Years gone by and maybe now we make do and mend,
Do not throw something away, but a clever message send
By using it for something else, or kindly give it away,
Or even have a garage sale on a warm sunny day.

We try and buy re-useable instead of throw way,
But if we do, we use them for many a long day,
Yet what of the most precious resource that’s ours,
Do we throw it away like faded plastic flowers?

The resource I’m talking about, we all have the same,
Is time, and to use it wisely should be our daily aim,
It is one thing that we can’t call back or use over again,
Cannot be captured and saved in some animals pen.

So as the seconds tick by a wastrel do not ever be,
Always try and do things to improve you for eternity,
We all need rest and recreation and creativity and work,
But we should not use time by allowing evil to lurk.

Remember the saying, no one recycles time at all,
Only once does every second, minute, hour call,
So because it cannot be recycled treat it with care
Think of every precious moment as a gift truly fair.
