WOULD I JESUS KNOW
In a crowded room, would I Jesus know,
Would I be drawn to Him, His sweet glow
Beckon me, Or my eyes not see the light
That always leads God children to do right?
If I shook hands would I feel the power there,
If I looked into His eyes could I hold the stare,
Or would, not knowing why, hang my head,
If He spoke, not understand what was said?
I hope that my feeble heart would beat fast
As I recognized Him in that crowd so vast,
Tears of gratitude flow down my joyous face
In appreciation of His sacrifice and His grace.
I need not feel His hands and wounded feet
As our eyes across the great room did meet,
His voice ring true in both my ears and heart,
Then willingly follow after Him if He did depart.
