        SPECIAL LITTLE MOMENTS
Special little moments can happen often each day,
Nothing very spectacular but will bring joy your way,
It maybe a sparkling cobweb covered in morning dew,
Or a patch of pretty wild flowers coming into view.

A hint of a silver lining behind dark clouds of grey,
A simple rose bud, it’s petals folded in a perfect way,
An evening song bird high in a tree singing a lullaby,
The wonder of these things brings a tear to the eye.

A tear of true appreciation, a tear of sweet gratitude
For the beauty of the earth and the abundance of food,
A tear of thanks for life itself and the joy it brings,
To have eyes to see and ears to hear every little thing.

It’s special little moments that some people don’t see,
Or don’t care that they exist, know not of earth beauty.
May I always be blest my life through, a nature lover be,
Especially in the fall when earth puts on her best finery.

The colours of the maple shining red in the sunlight,
Mingled with the yellows, golds and fir green bright,
The golden rod and Michaelmas daisies adorn the earth,
And the crops in abundance, beauty of great worth.
