        PAINTING IN OUR MIND
Do we just hang up on the vast walls of our mind
The things we did wrong, the mistakes of every kind,
Instead of placing in our mind’s eye all the good we did,
Times we did not go astray and our anger we kindly hid.

Do we want to dwell on the negative in our life,
The times of difficulty full of despair, of trouble and strife.
I am sure that it is the evil one who wants us dwell on these things
Rather than the good we did, remembering the joy these acts bring.

In ones home if you have paintings adorning each wall,
They would not be dark and gloomy but pleasing for all
To see, a painting of the Saviour and scenes of beauty rare,
Even in modern art nice patterns and bright colours be there.

So if it is wrong doing that clutters the wall of our mind,
Redecorate, and all our good wholesome memories find
To hang up there for just to show you that God is really kind,
And if repented of all those bad things did, He is blind.

So hang pictures of all the good and kind things you have done,
Show every glorious good battle that you have fought and won.
Drape all around these pictures, thoughts of beauty, love and grace
And there in the centre of your minds wall hang a vision of His face.
