More poems about Chores

THINGS TO DO
Sometimes I write ‘a things to do’ list,
So of the many chores none are missed,
Today was no exception, my work put down
And I gazed at it with a heavy frown.
Then one little chore led to another
And my list grew, ahead I was no further,
A two page list I really did not want to make,
I could scratch off to make a nice cake.
Looking for an ‘A’ size vacuum bag,
Two cupboards, three drawers later I did sag,
But they are now tidy but not on my list,
I’ll be working all day, do you get the gist
Of the sort of funny day I am having?
So to my list more things I keep adding.
Write a poem was written down quite clear,
So for a little rest I am sitting here
At my computer before I attack the fire place
Which is a mess, a task that I need to face.
With the hope that no more jobs do appear
As the paper and mess out of the grate I do clear.
Well this task is now almost over and done,
If I find the time I will try and write another one.
So back to my ever growing list on the table,
And finish off all the things on the list if I am able.
