FOUND OUR ALMOST DREAM HOME
In the town of Kirkland Lake up north quite away,
Is our almost dream home, we saw it the other day,
With a kitchen with many cupboards, counters bright,
Huge in size, it was a cooks or chefs pure delight,
Big enough for a banquet table and many a chair,
I could just imagine my friends all stopping to stare.
Although some tiles were missing from the large pretty floor,
There was a pile stacked up neatly by the back door.
The livingroom is also very large also quite wide
I can imagine all my china there displayed with pride,
Also on the main floor a bedroom with a bathroom there,
Two bedrooms upstairs another bath for others to share.
Fancy steps down to the vast basement with a fireplace,
I can imagine on cold winter day a warm glow on each face.
Then another room farther on and storage rooms there too,
A front and back garden with some work for us to do.
The roof needed shingles but everything else seemed sound,
The only fault as all that could really be found
Was, that it was on a street right in town not by a lake,
Location was not quite right so we will not take
My almost dream home, but lake ones either had no plumbing
Or had septic tanks so youd worry which way winds were blowing.
Yes, its almost our dream home and the price was really cheap,
I wonder if at any time at my dream home Ill peep
