DISTRACTIONS
Today was a day when jobs was very hard to complete,
For many different distractions all along I seemed to meet,
Like while cleaning the livingroom my husband said to me
“Lets sort out the big closet”, that sounded good to me.

So I left the vacuum cleaner right in the middle of the floor
And went up to help with a task that I liked much more,
Then we remembered that an errand we needed to run,
So with boxes all over the bed we left that project part done.

We came home and then I baked, the kitchen was a mess,
Then I glanced into the livingroom and I must confess
That I had quite forgotten about my partly cleaned home,
Then remembered the boxes on the bed and wanted to moan.

It appeared that one distraction just seemed to lead me astray
From the first that thing I began at the beginning of the day,
But soon everything was back to normal looking tidy at last,
But remembering this happened to me many times in the past.

Am I the only one who gets distracted and led far astray
From the things she began at the beginning of a normal day,
Or are others just as mixed up and befuddled as I seem to be?
Life would be much more simple if of distractions I was free.
