GOING ON THE FERRY
We are going on the ferry from St John to Digby,
As we sail across the water, I wonder way well see,
Other than the mighty ocean with waves tossing high,
Will we see whales swimming or an albatross in the sky?
Will the waves be big enough to make the crossing rough,
Seeing that maybe landlubbers can sometimes be tough,
Or will the ocean be very calm sailing on water so blue
Not really like we imagined what the cold Atlantic should do.
We do not mind the weather as we travel to our holiday,
The ferry is just the beginning part of our too short stay,
But through sunshine and through showers well have fun,
And when we get on that ferry our holiday has really begun.
We will go home through Halifax, other sights to see,
So going on the big ferry for two hours will be
Part of the adventure, part of the exciting holiday,
So whales swim and birds fly as we go on our way.
