WAITING OUTSIDE
Sitting in the shade on a warm, sunny summers day,
Waiting, watching the rest of the folks pass my way,
It was quite odd all the different things you can see,
As for about four hours this just happened to me.
Outside the hospital, watching the folks come and go,
Many nationalities in sweet concord, no hostility did show,
All mixing so well together with no cruel animosity,
Living in lovely Canada, in wonderful sweet harmony.
Pretty flowers and tall green tress, no litter about,
Everyone friendly Hello someone did shout,
All willing to help standing back to let others through,
Hang on while I help, a child fell, others helped too.
Its the people who make a country the best place to live,
With very little taking and, yes, a great deal of give,
Just sitting in the shade, looking, having to wait outside,
If all folks are like this, Canada should be full of humble pride.
