IN a post-apocalyptic world, a mother gives birth to fraternal twins. One of these boys is pure evil, while the other is truly good, but not in your typical chivalrous fashion. More like the good that Dirty Harry brings to the screen.
As you might imagine, they wind up fighting each other to rule the land. The evil twin tries to kill off everything, and there are a lot of references to the Third Reich in the background when the evil one is on screen. Apparently, the apocalypse was caused by technology and it is now seen as evil in the world. The evil brother uses technology to further his ambitions, while the good twin abstains, relying strictly upon magical powers.
A good movie, with a great finish. There are a lot of parallels between this melodrama and Disney's "The Lion King." (Oops. I go to a Baptist church. I shouldn't have said Disney!) Although there is some foul language and violence, I would say that film is suitable for middle school viewers, as long as they are supervised. The language is minimal, and I have seen worse violence on Saturday morning cartoons.
