Monty Python and the Holy Grail

There may be some who would not consider this to be a "bad" film, but I believe it merits that destinction due to the incredible number of bad puns and jokes that are woven throughout this particular film. The murder and eventual conclusion of the film by themselves put this film in a class of lunacy all by itself.

I must have seen this movie, oh, I don't know, between fifteen and twenty times while at Ohio State. It was usually played once a quarter at the movie house at the Ohio Union. I am pretty sure that those people who were in attendance at the movie with us did not enjoy the fact that we would recite the lines to the movie as they were said.

From the beginning of the film with the mud farmers to the witch trial to the Castle Anthrax to the unreal conclusion, this movie deserves not only a place as a truly great cult film, but also as on of the classic "bad" films of all time.

For the record, there is some swearing in this movie, but, as is typical in "good" british comedy, it is not superfluous. 1
