This carving came to me care of The Dark Gulf of N'Kai. It is an original plaster on lath sculpture by Darcy Burgess.
I asked Darcy whether it was an original concept or inspired by a specific Mythos object. He responded, "Original in concept. However, when I set out to make the sculpture, I knew I wanted something that had an organic feel to it... so in that sense, yes it was mythos-enspired (Shoggoth droppings, anyone???)."
