The name of this site, The Chestnut Tree Café is a rather obscure reference to George Orwell's classic novel 1984. The novel chronicles the life of Winston Smith, a man living under the crippling yoke of a fascist regimé called Ingsoc (English Socialism). Throughout the novel the characters visit the Chestnut Tree Café. If you haven't read 1984 I highly recommend it. There was a movie made of it that you can check out here; I haven't seen it so I can't vouch for it. This site has nothing in particular to do with either the novel 1984 or the world it describes, I simply chose it as a subtle allusion for Orwell fans.
