I called this poem my favorite for good reason. I feel that people today do not want to listen, but to talk. And about what? Who knows, sometimes it seems that they are talking just to hear themselves talk. I find that most people I talk to here feel that it is ther job to give me advice or analyze my life. When i am talking to someone, I want that person to listen. Not assume what I will say, contradict me, analyze me, or give me advice...I just want to be listened to! And like the last line of the poem..."And if you want to talk, wait a minute for your turn-and I will listen to you."
