Home Economics Wheel
Grade level: 7th
Prerequisite: None
Length: One quarter
Description: This is a economics course in the exploratory wheel, introducing students to basic survival skills for daily living. It includes home safety, foods and nutrition, clothing, and consumer and care giver skills.

Home Economics 1
Grade level: 8
Prerequisite: None
Length: One semester
Description: Home Economics 1 is an introductory course which provides students with an opportunity to experience all content areas of home economics. Activities in the areas of decision making, foods and nutrition, resource management, clothing and textiles, interior design, and child development will be experienced.

Home Economics 2
Grade level: 8
Prerequisite: Home Economics 1
Length: One semester
Description: Home Economics 2 builds on skills introduced in Home Economics 1, and introduces new concepts. Students will further explore the areas of foods and nutrition, resource management, and clothing and textiles. Relationships, including friendships and family interaction, will also be studied.
