Foreign Language Department      Los Osos Middle School foreign language offerings consist of French 1 and Spanish 1. Both languages are introductory courses to the French and Spanish languages are introductory courses to the French and Spanish Languages and cultures. The emphasis is given to communicative activities focusing on listening and speaking skills. The student will gain an appreciation of the target language culture through readings, media, speakers, and geography. Formative skills in reading and writing will also be introduced. Completion of either French 1 or Spanish 1 at the middle school is equivalent to French 1 and Spanish 1 at the Morro Bay High School.
