English Department
At Los Osos Middle School student build upon their previous english skills learned in elementary school. Students continue to develop an understanding of language skills which include vocabulary, grammer, composition, speech, oral expression, and the use of the library and its materials. Students also study a variety of liturature, with seventh grade emphisising Where the Red Fern Grows and Tom Sawyer. Eighth grade ephisises a play version of The Diary of Anne Frank and Call of the Wild.
