Subject: Student occupation of buildings

The student body on Campus are continuing their campaign against up front fees and it is believed that they are organising the occupation of several buildings on Campus in the near future to highlight their cause. In the event of the building being taken over by student occupation the following advice should be considered.
1. Make safe and shut down all computers.
2. Remove all personal belongings and leave your office or laboratory.
3. Lock all doors behind you and make your area safe from intrusion.
4. For your own safety do not try to struggle with any student or demand that they leave.
5. Leave the building and assemble outside.
In the event of a prolonged occupation the security services may wish to cut the water and power to the building. It is essential that all equipment which may be damaged by sudden shutdown of these services is identified so that time can be made to control this process.
