Other Groups

We consider our building a major asset for our community; and part of our mission is to have it be used as many hours and days as possible. We are open to several groups who meet here daily, weekly, or monthly. We try to accommodate all requests that are compatible with our ministry - who, for instance, seek to promote our neighborhood, serve children, help people in recovery; or groups that provide safety for the inclusion diverse peoples (such as the GLBT community) and who work for social justice.

At present, these are the groups that regularly meet here:
Head Start
During the school year, nearly 100 local children from low-income households spend every day in our classrooms. The program is administered by West Side Ecumenical Ministries.
