Our Response ...

Our hearts respond when we truly understand how much God loves us -- how much He desires for each of us to be a member of His family. John 3:16 (NIV) says:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Jesus suffered greatly when He gave Himself for us so that our sins could be forgiven. He was beaten by an extremely cruel method and then crucified. This cost God the Father great pain and suffering to watch His son endure this. This shows us how
much God loves us.
Our heart's response to God must be to love Him and the objects of His love (other people) in return. I John 4:7-10 (NIV):
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only
Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."
God is Love. In His presence there is only love. There is no room in His family for anything except love.
Our response to God must be to
LOVE.
