Shortcake


1 cup Margarine
1 1/2 cup Flour
1/4 cups Sugar
3 tspn Baking Powder
1/2 tspn Salt
1 tspn Vanilla
1 ea Egg
1 cup Milk

Cream margarine and sugar. Then add egg, vanilla, and milk to mixture. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together and add to margarine mixture.  Pour batter into a greased and floured large square cake pan.  Bake at 350F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve topped with fruit (strawberries, blueberries, etc.) and whipped cream.
