Pesto


The most traditional Genoese sauce, can be used on all kinds of pasta.  

1 cup  Basil  Fresh 
 3 cloves  Garlic   
 1/4 cup  Olive Oil  Good quality 
 1/2 cup  Pine nuts  (Pinoli) 
1/2 cup  Parmesan   Grated
    Salt   

In a blender, combine basil, garlic, nuts, and cheese.  Slowly add olive oil while blender is running.  Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
