Onion Soup


 2 lb  Onions  Chopped
 1/2 cup  Margarine   
 2 cups  French Bread  Diced (for croutons) 
1/2 cup  Parmesan  Grated 
 2 ea  Beef cubes   
1 cup Red Wine
 1 Tbsp  Garlic  Grated 
    Salt & Pepper   

Preheat oven to hot (400F). Sauté the onions in margarine until golden, stirring often.  Add 4 cups of water, beef bouillon cubes and let boil for 10 minutes.  Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Dice bread. Spread in baking pan with margarine and season with  garlic.  Bake croutons until crisp. 

Add croutons and Parmesan cheese to soup when serving.
