Fudge Brownies


1 cup Pecans or Walnuts Chopped
1 pinch Salt
1 tspn Vanilla
4 ea Eggs
1 tspn Baking Powder
4 oz Chocolate Unsweetened
1 cup Flour Sifted
1 cup margarine
2 cups Sugar

Preheat oven to 325 F.  Grease a 9" square baking pan.  Melt butter and chocolate in small saucepan over low heat. Stir to blend and set aside to cool.  Beat eggs until light yellow; add salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder. Beat well. Mix in cooled chocolate, vanilla and pecans. Mix thoroughly.  Pour into prepared pan and bake 35-45 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
