Cod Soup


1 lb  Cod  Cut in chunks. 
 1/2 cup  Cabbage  Chopped 
1 cup   Onions  Chopped 
 1/2 cup  Celery  Chopped 
 1/2 cup  Carrots  Chopped 
 3 ea  Fish cubes  Can use chicken cubes instead.. 
 2 Tbsp  Margarine   
 2 tspn Salt   
  Spices  A pinch each: pepper, basil, thyme and rosemary  

Sauté celery and onion in margarine until tender. Stir in seasoning cubes, cabbage, carrot and spices. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 - 8 minutes until vegetables are almost tender. Cut fish in 1 inch pieces. Add fish to vegetables. Increase heat just to boiling and then reduce again and let simmer, covered, for about 3 minutes. Serve with croutons.
