Right Worshipful Joseph P. Vaughns is serving his third year as District Manager of District 4 & 6. He is the Past Master of Westside Lodge #1290, where he held that position for 15 years. He served as the District Senior Warden for six years prior to being elevated to the position of District Manager. Brother Vaughns is a member of the Board of Directors of MW St. Joseph Grand Lodge of Texas. Brother Vaughns served one and a half years as the Commander of San Antonio Consistory #1, prior to stepping down to assume the position of Illustrious Potentate of Alkoran Shrine Temple #99. He is serving his sixth year as the Potentate. Prior to being elected as Potentate in December 1992, he was a member of the Temple Board of Directors, the Oratorical Contest Committee, the Annual Picnic Committee and the Annual Circus Committee. He is the Master of Ceremonies in the Grand Lodge of Perfection of the State of Texas, and holds the position of Captain of the Guards in the A & A Supreme Council of Texas. Brother Vaughns was raised a Master Mason in June of 1954 in Westside Lodge, where he has sat in each chair in the Lodge. He is the Worthy Patron of Esther Chapter #1291 Order of the Easter Star.
