When it comes to informing the public about the impact on personal
health and on the environment of our habit of eating animals, and about
the mockery we make of our proclaimed ethical principles of not causing
unnecessary suffering, not treating living beings as things, that such
behavior entails, PBS is not doing it. Is it any wonder? To do so would
offend some of their biggest sponsors.
