Descriptions

This page gives information on the features that were mentioned over on the request page. These options are offered so that I can get a better idea of what people would like to see (that way I don't put a lot of time into something you're not interested in when I could be doing something you'd love *smile*) The current features are: Starter Kit Newsletter/Detailed Updates Study Groups A Coven Format Message Board and/or Chats If there's something that you'd like that isn't on this list put it in the comments field of the request form. (You could also use the back button on your browser to do this) Starter Kit All this means is that I have a file on my computer that holds the vital information for the page. Things like location, purpose, etc that you might want to have on hand in your inbox to help you get aquainted with what's going on here. This is both meant to help you get settled into how things work as quickly as possible, and to be something you can refer back to later. Return to the top of the page. Newsletter/Detailed Updates This is pretty much what the name says. At the moment all that I'm sure of is the detailed updates. There are two reasons: first the automatic service seems to send out mail saying the page has been updated sometimes even when it hasn't, and second because all the automatic one says is that some change has been made. I'm going to leave the option of the automatic open, but for anyone who wants it I'll also occasionally send out my own notes saying that there's been an update, and giving a description of what's been done so that you can decide whether it's something you're interested in visiting the site to see. Return to the top of the page. Study Groups I'm not sure whether we'll actually be doing this or not yet. Basically this would be a sort of class, but more interactive than one person just lecturing to everyone else. Probably this would be on a mailing list format (though chats or message boards wouldn't be out of the question) and would be mostly discussion. (The actual topic would depend on whether we set up one general group, or several topical groups like a beginners group etc). Return to the top of the page. A Coven Format This would be similiar to (and possibly part of) study groups. The major difference between a study group and more of a coven setup is that the first would be only for learning purposes and the second could include actual online rituals and similiar things. Return to the top of the page. Message Board and/or Chats Very much just what the title says. A message board would be a place where you could leave messages publically for other people to answer and chats would be real-time discussion. If there's a lot of interest I don't see much problem in setting something like this up, but I don't plan to go ahead and do this one unless I know people will enjoy it *smile* Return to the top of the page.
