OPENING [(UN)-OFFICAL] NOTICE

On August 23, 1996, approximately (1.30am EST), the html files for The Avress Tower (Tyrsis Avress)were ftp-ed into the Geocities FTP Server. A period of twenty-four hours was alloted for the processing of said-files, and another period of five hours was added for "safety measures". A private tour of The Avress Tower was conducted. (Bugs, bugs, bugs!)

As of August 23 1996, approximately, The Avress Tower was declared (un)-officially open and on the World Wide Web!

Okay, so it's my imagination running wild! <g> Got a problem with it?

August 23, 1996

Anyway, "notice" or not, this page is up! :) Did I see a pig fly out the window? It's not much at the moment, but hopefully, just hopefully, I'll add that Gallery and expand the Library. Let me tell you, the ideas took almost as much time as the construction. I spent a good few hours just browsing for stuff, and very often coming out with nothing--much to the chagrin of the phone bill..hehehe. Don't get the wrong concept, I don't really have the money nor the time to waste. So why do I even try? I don't know. It's probably the hype. The challenge. The fun. The insanity of it!<g>

Just because everyone is doing it, doesn't mean I have to do it, yes. But that doesn't mean I can't do it either. :) However, I hope that all of my work wasn't only for my benefit and that you found a little bit to enjoy yourselves. Heck, if you didn't, let me know! I'm also open for ideas... I really don't have much time to fish around anymore, so please, if you see something that I may use, drop me a line.

Anyway, I'll leave you with this thought: have you ever noticed it's so hard to find a picture of a flying pig?!
