It's 4am as I write this.. and I have a headache. I should be getting some sleep but there are "things to do, people to write to and places to browse."

Actually, I'm not in the greatest mood. Now, I'm not normally in a bad mood. Honest! But I am human.. and while I'm irritated right now--over something trivial, so don't worry, I won't bore you with it--I'm somewhat morbidly fascinated by this mood. (It must be the lack of sleep!)

Have you ever noticed that "bad things" have the greatest timing (or worse, depending on how you look at it)? I think they're patient little demons. They sit and hover around you, waiting for the right moment to go "BOO!" And if you're not scared out of your wits, I suppose you'd want to strangle them.

For instance..You're behind in your work. Monday is creeping up, and a "DEADLINE" looms over your head. Good thing you've got the weekend to pull full-nighters, right? ..Behind the scenes however, Demon #234 rubs his hands (or paws) mischeviously and surveys the scene. He deems it worthy for his presence and jumps right in. (Not before, of course, he leaves a message for his buddies--just in case) A phone call comes through. "Hey! How come you're not here yet?"

"`Here' for what?" (warily)

"Don't you remember?! The (insert important function where you are partially responsible for) is today!"

Dum de de DUM.

And of course, "the gang" arrives. "Hey, Demon #234 has found a party site! C'mon Demons!" says Demon #1435. -- Your car breaks down while hurrying to this important affair.

Sighs.

Ah, but that's only just the beginning. The party has only just started. But of course, you know what I'm talking about right? We all have had our bad days, right? .. and then, later, maybe a week later, when the party, hangover and griping has passed, we can reflect and almost laugh at the irony of things... right?

[Side-note: This is dedicated to all who have been through a bad day: You are not alone. I mean, things can only get so bad, right? -Oops.]
