I quit my job last Friday (yup, the 13th)... It felt like every other day... except that the electricity died on us and I got caught in the rain. ;-) Then I went through the "normalcies" of the weekend. The concept of quitting didn't take effect until Monday morning--"7.30am.. mmmm... YES! I can go back to sleep!"
But now, I don't know what to do. I tried going online, but the novelty--although sorely missed over the past few weeks--quickly wore off. I tried reading the next book of a series I was working on...only to find out I'd accidentally read the last book already. However, I didn't contemplate on the stack of college brochures I'd collected over the weekend (and, coincidentally, the reason why I've quit my job). It's my first day of "freedom"! I was supposed to enjoy myself! ... I couldn't be that desperate for something to do so soon, now, can I?
I sat in front of the TV and popped in vaguely marked videos into the VCR. Funny, I almost don't remember those shows... and I'm mighty miffed some of them didn't have any endings! Ah well.
I got two calls just before office hours ended.. my former colleagues from working asking for over-the-phone assistance. It was odd to hear them again, although it was only a few days ago I'd been working with them.
Was about to watch something that pretty much predates Gilligan's Island, I think, when I remembered I hadn't had "time" to update my homepage. Heh. That might change, hm?
Maybe tomorrow I'll go look at those college pamphlets..
