It comes to such a happy end.

It took Jon and I 10 months to get back together after that New Year's. Jon graduated college and worked all the summer long, saving up for moving. October 5, 2000 Jon arrived here in Massachusetts to live. He shipped all his worldly possesions via UPS. He got himself an' ol' pickup truck and found a non-Market Basket related job. And then we got married. :) So as promised so long ago, here are some of our wedding photos.

This is me (in the middle) and my parents, who both walked me down the asile. The wedding was in my parents backyard. Jon and I are simple folk, so don't expect any grand stuff like a $3000 gown, or crystal chandilers, or 400 guests. We like simple things, and that's what we did.

AWWWWWWWW.... Husband and wife at last... it took a long time to get here, but here we are.

This is the small and simple wedding party. My best friend Mary Elizabeth, my sister Laura, me, Jon, and Jon's brother Joe. Where's the smile Joe?

There's the smile! You never realize how much the two of them look alike untill you put them right up next to one another.

Laura and I joking around during the photo taking. I should like to say here that we nicknamed our photographer "dorky" because he was so.

Here's the family... a new set of in-laws is born. My Dad, Mom, me, Jon, Jon's Mom and Dad. Notice how thrilled my new mother-in-law is. Notice the iron grip she has on her son's arm.

My Nana... what can you say about Nana? I'm not entirely sure Nana was aware of what was really going on. And sad to say, she had to go to a nursing home not to long after this. One thing about Nana tho'. She may not be aware of what's going on, but most of the time she's pretty happy.
Ok, so a funny story about this slice of cake. Jon and I did the ol' cutting of the cake and we fed each other, but we didn't smash it into each other's faces. We were very nice about it to the booos of the crowd who apparently wanted to see us covered in frosting. Angry at the heckling I chased my sister around the reception hall carrying the slice of cake seen here, threating to smash it in HER face. I made a complete circle around the room, in heels I will add, with the cake on the server, RUNNING, and did not drop the cake. Now that's talent.

So that's the story. From internet chat room to long distance relationship to wedding. It's nice to be married, and I'm glad it worked out. I hope it all works out for all of you out there... hope you find love. TTFN.
