Biographical Information
I come from a long line of writers. My father was a successful television comedy writer (All in the Family, The Garry Moore Show, Man Against Crime, The Lucy Show, The Phil Silvers Show, et al), and my grandfather wrote the third page editorial for one of the Hearst papers (The Journal-American), in New York. My great-great-great grandfather was a "poetmeister" (poet master) in Germany. My mother was an advertising copywriter and teacher. I’ve been told I’m related to Robert Frost through my great Aunt Minnie Frost.
I was born in Manhattan, New York on December 7th, 1955, and was raised in Demarest/Alpine, New Jersey, in a home on five acres, with a waterfall, forest, deer and raccoons. We moved to Hollywood, California when I was fourteen (the same time that the television industry relocated from New York to Los Angeles).
I have been a published author since 1976.
I have traveled all over the United States, most of Europe, Brazil and the Bahamas. I lived in Monte Carlo, Monaco for close to a year. I have also lived in North Hollywood and Laguna Niguel, California, Atlanta, Georgia, Ormond Beach, Florida, Cushing, Oklahoma, and Seattle, Washington. I spent one year living in South Africa, and am currently living on a large island NW of Seattle. Last year I spent two blissful days swimming with dolphins.
I have taken flying lessons in a Cessna, and photographs while in a hot air balloon (during a race).
I can make stained glass windows using the copper foil method, do macramé, sew clothing and costumes, cook, play guitar, sing, and act.
I love my daughter, Raven, who is almost 21, and my Blue Persian cat, Vincent, who is still a baby.
