Dominic trained for years, both as a priest and in warrior arts, as part of a cadre of fellow zealots prepared to take the fight into the Dark Realm by commiting ritualised suicide and manifesting as wraiths within the Dark Realm to destroy any ghost they encountered.
In time, Dominic and his fellow priests were deemed ready - and like several groups before them - they killed themselves with broadswords they had constructed themselves. They appeared in the Deadlands and rampaged briefly through the Chicago Necropolis before the Hierarchy sent troops to smash them. Dominics's troope was destroyed - and he was able to flee into the Tempest through a spontaneous manifestation of Argos.
Since then, over several years, Dominc has wandered the Deadlands of the United States as a Heretic, proclaiming the Christian Faith which sustains him and working to undermine the slave trade upon which the Hierarchy thrives. He does this by using Moliate to disguise himself as an Enfant, complete with Caul, and ambushing any slaver that "chances" upon him. In this guise, he has some measure of notoriety as "The Shroudkiller".
In recent months, Dominic has returned to Chicago, drawn in an attempt to alert his parent organisation as to the true nature of wraithly society and its factions. His attempts have been stifled by the powerful wards put in place against wraithly intrusion by his ex-superiors, and Dominic has been forced to enter an alliance of convenience with the Kindred known as Ryan - an alliance that has Dominic extremely cautious.
Like so many others, Dominic has been dragged into the conflict surrounding Drakonskyr and the "Hive" constructed by Spectres in the Chicago necropolis. At first it was simply a matter of survival for him, his allies and his proteges, but as the true scope of the conspiracy comes to light, Dominic has found himself in the unique position of seeing most of the picture and seemingly in a position to throw a major spanner into the works for Drakonskyr's spectral allies...
