Welcome to Gateway Comics, Cards and Games newsletter. For those of you who have not been in for a while, we'd like to have you stop by again. Now is a great time to do so. We are instituting a punch card program for our preferred customers. All you need do is stop by, and you'll get one punch on your card for every $5.00 you spend. When the card is full you'll get $10.00 worth of FREE MERCHANDISE. Please review the rest of this newsletter, and the calendar of events enclosed. I'm sure you'll find areas of interest to you. Gateway receives new comics every Thursday, and has a free comic subscription service. We'll hold your favorites for pick-up for you. Gateway has an excellent selection of vintage comics. We have thousands in stock. Our preferred customers can take advantage of a generous discount program for vintage comics. Titles are offered on a rotating alphabetical basis at 50% off! Ask for details.
Gateway is having a comics by the pound sale from May 20th to May 24th. we actually weigh the comics and you pay only $1.00 per pound! As you can guess, this sale is extremely popular with everyone. Choose from literally thousands of comics!
Gateways comic club will begin meeting every fourth Thursday at 5:00 beginning April 24th. This club is geared for ages 7-17. Stop by and make some new friends!
Gateway carries cards of all your favorite players in all the major sports. You can buy cards by the box, pack, on individually. Just as with comics you can take advantage of our preferred customer program. Single cards are offered on a rotating alphabetical basis at 50% off! And remember, your purchases gain you punches on your card for future free merchandise. Solid metal cards from the Highland Mint are sold here, and these cards can highlight any collection. Also, metal coins are sold of your favorite players. Card club night is the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:00. The next meeting is April 17th. Bring your cards to trade. We will also try a game I heard of called "pack wars" on these days. This game is open to all.
Friday nights is Strat-O-Matic baseball night. You manage the equivalent of a major league baseball team. This game is great fun for all ages (11 to adult). Games are any Friday in April after 5:00. We will start league play in May.
Gateway has a great selection of games from TSR, WESTEND, I.C.E., and others.
Roleplay as a STAR WARS fighter pilot, an elf or hobbit from MIDDLE EARTH, or a fighter or priestess from the FORGOTTEN REALMS. More traditional games like RISK and CHESS are also available.
Trading card games like MAGIC THE GATHERING, STAR TREK, STAR WARS, X-FILES, OVERPOWER, and more are all the rage these days. Gateway holds several tournaments each month for these games (Saturdays). We have a great selection of these games, so don't hesitate to stop.
