A quick trip from Alburquerque to Santa Fe during New PacifiCon '96 proved to be insufficient, especially when I saw pictures other con-goers had taken and I realized what I had missed! Char teased and cajoled and begged and pleaded for me to join them. However funds were tight and vacation time at a premium so I said no until . . .
. . . she told me she knew where "Morgan Mesa" was, and I reserved my flight the next day!
Deciding we were the lost pod crew of G889, we named our adventure EvacPodCon '97. Armed with maps that the crew used to find the filming sites, we made like Edenites and trekked 'til we thought our feet would fall off. But it was worth it and, yes, I'd do it all over again!
