Sault College is located in the city of Sault Ste. Marie. It is a rather small, yet formidable college. It is not a well known college, yet it is unique and especial in it's own way, because it is located in a small, quiet city of Sault Ste. Marie in Northern Ontario. The college has some really good programs, most popular of them is the Forestry Technology Program which is the only specialized forestry research program in Ontario. I chose this college because it has the Electronics Engineering Technology Program that I am interested in. Plus the controversial issue that it is far from home.
The 49th Reg. is the major military corps in the Sault Armoury of Sault Ste. Marie. It has a mighty yet friendly presence in the civilian community, that has proud and strong military traditions in which I became part of. I joined the 49th Reg as a reserve recruit on March 13, 1997. My life change forever. After some hard and tough mental and physical lessons and trainings, a qualified QL2 soldier July 16, 1997, a qualified QL3 soldier August 23, 1997, I am now a Gunner, not much of an achievement, nevertheless, it's worth it. I get to clean the rifle, fire the rifle, set up tents, dig up trenches, fire a howitzer, drive a military truck, and other fun/tough things.
