A young boy grew up in the swamps of Virginia, where he was abandoned at birth. He spent his early years in seclusion, never setting eyes on another human. This does not mean that he lived alone. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. He was raised by the animals of the swamp, each one passing on to him abilities - abilities far beyond those of normal humans. Eventually, he learned the ways of the swamp. He was as cool as the water, as slick as the snake, and as horny as the toads. He spent years with his animal family, all the time thinking that he belonged in the swamp.

When he was twelve years old, a chinese family found him while on a family trip to the swamp. They took him in as one of their own and taught him of their way of life. In a matter of days, he learned how to read, write, and perform complex mathematic operations. This family of five grew so fond of the young boy, they decided to adopt him as a son. They called him Sonny and they saw that he was good. After a week with his new family, the Louie family, Sonny's body began to change as if adapting to his new family. His eyes became slightly angled and his skin color changed to a yellowish tone. Sonny still didn't feel at home like he did with the animals of the swamp, but at least he looked like he fit in.

By law, Sonny had to begin to go to school. He entered kindergarten at the age of twelve at a school where he was ridiculed and tormented by the other children. However, his teacher realized that he was far beyond a kindergarten level and quickly advanced him to first grade. This happened a few more times in the following year and, by the time Sonny was fourteen, he entered The Thomas Jefferson High School For Science and Technology in Aleandria, VA. There, he settled in with his intellectual equals, and ,for the first time, he was able to use some of the skills he acquired from the swamp. He used the strength of the crocodiles and the speed of the velociraptors to gain the position of starting running back/cornerback/kick returner for the football team and won the confidence of his fellow teammates. His teammates liked him very much and called him Sonny and they saw that he was good.
