Ylissa Yinnalyn Ystifel Ydellian Yandref was born in Murandy, in a small town known, imaginatively, as Little Lugard. It was almost exactly like the larger Lugard, especially in reputation. Her father, Ylad Yandref, owns an inn, and her mother, Ylindrin Ydellian Yandref, is the head cook. Ylissa grew up in the stable; she and her younger sisters were the stablehands, while her mostly older brothers (and one younger) worked in Y'Olde Yolk Yakker Ynn as servers and such. (Once upon a time, it had been Ye Olde Yolk Yakker Inn, but it had been shortened. There was talk of shortening it further to Y'old Yakker, but that was just talk.) At some point, she learned how to channel, but she isn't sure when or how. She does know that the only way she can seem to channel is after a mug or two of ale, and on horseback. Physically, Ylissa is rather unimpressive. She is average height, with hair best described as 'hair-colored' and eyes as 'eye-colored.' If you asked her, she might describe them as "Yck," but no one has ever bothered to ask. She is unusually strong in Earth, can barely light a candle, and is slightly below average in Air, Water and Spirit. She does, however, have a fairly strong Healing talent.
