Tora was born to an innkeeper and his wife just outside the New City. As a child, she was tutored in history and trickery by the gleemen who visited the inn to entertain the patrons.  Eventually, at age fifteen, she sought to attain the patched cloak herself, and joined a gleeman named Qalar j'Nai in his journeys.  Upon seeing the world, she eventually began to perform magic tricks that even she knew not the cause of, but as the customers were amazed at the frenzied displays of bright light, she kept performing, though once it made her extremely ill.

At an inn near Tar Valon, two Aes Sedai were there to witness her tricks.  They approached her later in the show to discuss the fact that her "tricks" were none other but illusion with the One Power, and that Tora was a wilder who should be taught.  They left the choice to learn up to her, but within a week, Tora said her good-byes to Qalar and left her gleeman training to enroll in the Tower.

Physical Appearance:  Tora has bright, copper-colored hair and silvery blue eyes.  She is tallish, and on the skinny side of slim.

Personality:  Tora is cynical, moody, and often pessimistic, with a temper hotter than her red-hair.  She has the habit of arrogance, and a sarcastic sense of humor that often gets her into trouble.  Despite her flaws, she is keenly intelligent, and eager to learn.
