This honey-haired young girl grew up in Tar Valon, on the poorer side of town. She was one of many children, most of whom begged or stole to get money for the family. Her given name was Caba, and she hated it (It means horse, but her mother more often called her Mule.) She had always looked up to the Aes Sedai and swore that she would be one someday. Her mother always told her, "Stop daydreaming and get to work. Why would the tower take a little nobody like you?" She was considered a nuisance by her mother until she reached 15, when she blossomed into a very beautiful young woman. A few days before her 16th birthday, a friend warned her that her mother had sold her to a whorehouse to raise money for one of her boyfriends. She ran away from home and spent a few days wandering the streets before realizing that this was her opportunity to go to the tower. She gave her name as Ta'ima Rahsine at the tower and that is what she answers to now. No one at the tower knows of her past, that she knows of.
