Grant is the son of Harden al'Almon (warder)and Toreene al'Almon (Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah). Grant's mother was killed in the war.When she was killed Grant's father took him to raise in Andor.Where he trained Grant to become a warder like himself. How ever Harden slowly became dilusional due to the breaking of his bond with Grant's mother.He knew it wouldn't be long before he would die.Yet he managed to survive to teach Grant the thing's he would need to become a warder. When he thought Grant was mature enough,he sent him to the Tower to train.Thus Grant al'Almon traveled forth to the Tower.

Grant is very formal.(almost to formal at times) He takes his role in life very serious and adheres to a strict regimen of discipline. He believes to gain respect you must first earn it. His goal in life is to serve the Tower and to serve as an Aes Sedai's warder until his death.
